STEP 1) Fill out the online timing agreement through the link below. There is nothing to print or email for the agreement - it is completed on the web.
Within the agreement form, you'll enter which method of timing you'd like to use in addition to providing all of the dates, locations, times that pertain to your event. You will not be able to complete the timing agreement until you have a location and date secured.
STEP 2) Download the Credit Card Authorization, fill it out completely, then return to 3W Races via email. This may require printing and scanning or the use of advanced PDF software.

Timing Services Overview: We offer two types of timing services, depending on the size and scope of your event. Click Below for the TIMING FAQ sheet PDF - a helpful tool for race directors and runners alike.
$400 non-refundable deposit is collected to hold your timing date, regardless of timing method chosen. The deposit funds are, of course, applied to your timing fee balance which is due on your race day. Events outside a 90 mile radius of Denver may incur a surcharge.

Chip-Based Timing – Ideal for events with larger participant numbers or more complex timing needs.
How It Works:

$2.55 per registrant beyond 400.

App-Based Timing – $595 We use a tablet and the Webscorer app to provide reliable, efficient timing for smaller events.

Works best for 5K races or shorter due to finish line density.
If registration exceeds 225 participants (or the distance-specific limit), your event will automatically be upgraded to chip timing, and the corresponding fees will apply.
On-Site Timing Schedule:
Timer arrives 90 minutes before the scheduled start.
If on-site presence is required more than 120 minutes after the first scheduled gun time, an additional fee of $79/hour per timing team will be applied.
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT RENTAL ADD ON - for TIMING CLIENTS:
Indicate your equipment requests while completing the timing agreement online.
RENTAL ONLY, without a timing service agreement requires a minimum rental order of $200 and must be picked up and dropped off at 3W's warehouse in Commerce City, CO. Email us to arrange: info@3WRaces.com

Chip Timing - No participant limits per heat. Best for larger or more complex events, including multiple heats or waves.
App-Based Timing - Works best for smaller events or when waves do not overlap at the finish line.
Participant limits:
5K: Up to 225 participants total
1 Mile: Up to 110 participants per wave
2 Mile: Up to 160 participants per wave
Multiple waves allowed if:Each wave finishes before the next begins
No wave exceeds its distance-specific limit
⚠️ Important Upgrade Policy: If registrations exceed these limits, chip timing is required.
If you book app-based timing but participant numbers go over the listed limits (before or on race day), your event will automatically be upgraded to chip timing, and corresponding fees will apply.
On-Site Timing Schedule & Additional Charges
App-Based Timing: Timer arrives 90 minutes before the first gun time. Bibs: $20 per 100 additional registrants above 225 when using app-based method.
Chip Timing: Timer arrives 120 minutes before the first gun time
Extended On-Site Time - If staff are needed more than 120 minutes after the first scheduled start time, an additional $79/hour per timing team will apply (billed in 30-minute increments).
